Girl Scouts from Troop 3324 complete project for The Champion Center

Gracie Smith and Meredith Huggins, from Girl Scout Troop #3324, chose The Champions Center as the beneficiary of their Silver Award Project. The two young women had to pitch their project and then contribute 50 or more hours to research, design and creation of their project. They designed and built an outdoor “Music Wall” and a portable indoor activity center to encourage sensory play activities. The Champions Center for Special Children serves children, ages birth to 5 years, who live with disabilities or special needs. The two items produced from their project will give children additional access to sensory play and activities. Gracie and Meredith delivered the two projects to The Champions Center on Tuesday, July 26th.

The Girl Scouts also created a video as the education component of this project completion which you can view by clicking the button below:

We are delighted that the children we serve with benefit from this extremely creative service project and look forward to installing the outside wall very soon!

The music wall, created by Meredith and Gracie, will be installed on our playground.

Gracie and Meredith created a mobile activity center for our younger students.
